"We walk to provide resources and new opportunities for our youth"
Do you believe that some of the violence in the Chicago area relates to lack of opportunity for our youth?Walk to support our youth. AACF's walk-a-thon is an annual event to raise money for our life changing job training programs for at risk youth between the ages of 16 to 24 that are the most disconnected from school and work. In the past, this money has been used to provide supportive services for our youth program participants in the form of paid internships, GED prep, certification exams, employment screening & testing, childcare, housing, transportation, food, medical exam, uniforms, tuition, school fees, clothing, shoes, etc. Schools, teams, clubs, churches, companies, all are invited to attend! Individuals and groups can raise funds to win prizes at the event to help us reach our fundraising goal. Our goal is to raise $35,000 this year! Your registration donation will go directly to support case management, supportive services and other programming for youth, ages 16-24 who are not engaged in school or work and seek assistance to become re-engaged. AACF serves young people from the Austin neighborhood in Chicago, and youth from Oak Park, River Forest, Forest Park, Maywood, and Bellwood.Savers Donation Drive:
