Support For Success

Our Support for Success Program provide comprehensive services to our youth program participants to assist participants to achieve their goals. The following services are provided.

General Assistance – Supportive Services provides needed support to program participants who are transitioning into employment by providing transportation vouchers, clothing, uniforms, payments of fees, work equipment and certification exams, childcare assistance, etc., hindering participants from starting a job or accomplishing their individual development plan. Supportive services are tailored to each individual needs. Case managers are available to assess and assist participants to complete application forms and obtain support. A portion of our general assistance is earmarked for working women with children or Working Mothers.

Cars4Work – AACF assist youth participants to obtain dependable transportation to get to work and or school. We take donated cars, trucks, or other vehicles. When you make a donation, your vehicle is refurbished and given to a participant in need to go to work or excess donations are resold, and the proceeds go to AACF. We can take your car, running or not. However, it must have an engine, transmission and be tow-able. Have your title clear and in your name and free of liens with you when you call-in your donation. A tow company will contact you within two to three business days to pick up the card. You don’t need to be present. If you unable to donate your car outright, AACF will pay up to $600 for your working car in lieu of a tax donation. Contact a representative at (708) 848-1700 or complete the form to find out if your vehicle qualifies for pick-up.

HomeShare Housing and Rental Assistance Service – This service keeps our homeless youth from the streets and shelters, a true alternative to homelessness prevention for our participants. Our agency maintains a list of local residence with a room to share with youth. Additionally, participants are provided with rental and housing assistance, free homeless and foreclosure prevention counseling services. Other forms of housing counseling and education services, including pre-purchase, financing, reverse mortgage, rental, and non-delinquency post-purchase counseling services are also available. If you are interested in sharing a room in your residence with one of our youths, please call for more program information and requirement.
