Benefactor Memorial Scholarship Fund

In 2012, the Benefactor Memorial Scholarship Fund was established, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the African American Christian Foundation and in memory of our founding Father Dr. Kwadwo Antwi-Mensah. The program provides scholarships for our college bound youth program graduates and undergraduate students. In 2016, $750 would be awarded to our first applicants. Applicants will be chosen on the basis of financial need, academic performance (2.5 or higher on a 4 point scale), community service, recommendation and essay. The scholarships are renewable for 2 years of college with academic performance. The number of scholarships awarded are determined by fund-raising activities.

The completed scholarship application with two letters of recommendation is due July 15th of each year and may either be submitted online or mailed to: 6707 North Ave, Oak Park, IL 60302. Applicants will be notified of the results in August of each year by email or mail. Recipients will be awarded the scholarship at the Annual Shape A Future Gala and Awards in October of each year.

Check back for the scholarship application in May 2018
