Payroll Processing Clerk

This certificate program is designed to enable students to compute wages or salaries, maintain payroll records, prepare reports and accurately determine governmental agencies and employer tax obligation. This entry-level program prepare students to play a key administrative function for a business maintaining payroll using current computer technology. Students learn basic payroll and record keeping skills required by small and mid-size businesses.

Basic payroll skills include payroll data compilation, data entry, wage posts, beneits, data reconciliation, and payroll record maintenance.
