Support For Success
An innovative and dignified manner to address barriers and ensure youth succeed. Our Support for Success program provides comprehensive supportive services to program participants designed to assist them in achieving their goals. The program provides needed support to program participants who are transitioning into employment with basic needs, such as transportation, clothing, uniforms, fee payments, work equipment and certification exams, childcare assistance. The focus of this program is to eliminate potential obstacle hindering participants from starting a job or accomplishing their individual development plan. Supportive services are tailored to each individual’s needs. Case managers are available to assess and assist participants in completing application forms and obtaining support. A portion of our general assistance is earmarked for working women with children.
Housing and Rental Assistance Service – This service keeps our homeless youths off the streets and out of shelters, an efficient alternative to homelessness prevention. Our agency maintains a list of local residents with a room to share with youth as well as transitional housing and independent living options.
Rental or mortgage assistance is provided as well as free homeless and foreclosure prevention counseling services. Other services including housing counseling and education services, including pre-purchase, financing, and non-delinquency post-purchase counseling services are also available. If you are not enrolled in our programs and need rental assistance, submit a request to see if you qualify for assistance.
Baffua House: Located in the west suburban Cook County, Baffua House is a 8-bed transitional living program for young people between the ages of 18 and 24. Youth may stay at Buffua House for up to 12 months and are engaged in positive activities such as school, employment, and life skills training to achieve their Individual Development Plans and their future goals.
