We wish to express our sincere gratitude to the W.P. & H.B. White Foundation for the grant award of $20,000 last month in September. It is because of the generous support of organizations like the W.P. & H.B. White Foundation that we are able to provide youth program participants with critical supportive services including: rental assistance, tuition, uniforms, clothing, child care, transportation assistance, housing, and many others.
The W.P. & H.B. White Foundation was created in 1955 by the successful food packaging company White Cap (established in 1926), for the purpose of granting financial support to organizations in metropolitan Chicagoland that contribute in the areas of education, health, and human services, especially to those most in need.
We are honored to carry the mission forward in service of our most vulnerable in the population, community members living in critically low socioeconomic levels and those barred from employment: out of school, returning citizens, parenting youth, and those experiencing homelessness. Serving Chicago’s West Side and the greater metropolitan area AACF offers innovative workforce development training and education with support including: case management, career counseling and guidance, GED tutoring, financial aid, job placements, and paid internships. We offer education, training, and certification in the areas of CNA, CDL, office administration, and IT.
We are deeply grateful for the support from the W.P. & H.B. White Foundation - From the Board of the W.P. & H.B. White Foundation: “[We]recognized the importance of your work, carried out with steadfast dedication, not only to those you serve but also to the future good of our society.”
